Therapy grounded in safety, connection and belonging
ABOUT ME

I am a qualified teacher, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) practitioner and Drawing & Talking therapist with 20 years' experience supporting children and young people. I work across East Sussex and Kent.
My work is grounded in educational practice, psychological research and therapeutic support. I hold an MSc in Psychology of Education from University College London (UCL) and my research explored how children with SEND experience belonging in school.
Alongside my professional experience, I am also a parent of a child with dyspraxia (also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder). This has given me a deeper understanding of the challenges families can face when seeking the right support.
Bridge to Belonging was created from a simple belief:
Every child deserves to feel understood, valued and that they belong.
I qualified as a primary school teacher from UCL’s Institute of Education in 2005 and have taught in both state and independent schools for 20 years. I completed a MSc Psychology of Education at UCL in 2025 and hold Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) at the British Psychological Society. I am a certified Drawing & Talking practitioner.
